The canvas shape is best determined by the breed of your dog, for example, if it's a German Shepherd the rectangle is better suited for the layout; if you have a bulldog, the square is better.

Email to discuss pricing options.  The base price is for a painting of your pet's face with a plain background.  If you would like a full body or background included, please email MELA at info@girlpaintedartwork.com to get a quote.  If you would like a different size than what is offered, please email to discuss the options. 

Since I prefer to work on a large canvas area, if you have 2 pets and would like both of them on the portrait, the canvas size will be approximately 30 X 40 and pricing goes up accordingly.

Portraits are created with acrylic paints on canvas.

To get a custom pet portrait, follow these steps:

1) Email your pet's photographs to MELA at info@girlpaintedartwork.com.  I will let you know if your photograph will work for a portrait and also discuss the current timeline, which varies depending on projects already in the queue.  

2) Half down is required to get a spot reserved on MELA's calendar. Payment accepted via Paypal or Venmo.

3) I know how much your pet means to you and having the opportunity to recreate them is an honor.  Once your portrait is complete, I will email a photo of the artwork to you for your approval. I want this artwork of your fur baby to warm your heart every time you look at it. I will keep you posted through the process and make sure you are in love with your portrait before it is shipped.  Once the artwork is complete, the other half down plus shipping is due before the artwork is shipped.

4) Shipping will be quoted based on size, weight and destination.  Artwork is shipped via FedEx ground with professional packaging, insurance and signature delivery.
